6th Labs Network Meeting

The 6th Meeting of the Network of Experimentation and Innovation Laboratories in the Public Sector took place on 15th of November of 2023 at the Oficina da Regueifa e do Biscoito in Valongo and was co-organised by LabX and the Valongo Municipal Experimentation Lab (LEM Valongo).
The topic of this meeting was “International Practices in the Field of Experimentation and Innovation – Networking” and it was attended by 23 participants from the laboratories that are part of the Network.
The opening session was attended by José Manuel Abreu de Carvalho, Chief of the Cabinet of the Valongo City Council Presidency, and Elsa Castro, Member of the Board of Directors of the Agency for Administrative Modernisation, I.P. (AMA).
In the morning, representatives from the Observatory of Public Sector Innovation (OPSI – OECD), the Centre of Digital Inclusion (CDI Portugal) and Chile’s Laboratório de Gobierno also took part, sharing international practices of experimentation and innovation.

The next meeting is already scheduled for 28 February 2024 and will be co-organised by LabINov of the Portuguese Criminal Police in Lisbon.
