Innovation Grant AMA / Fraunhofer Portugal AICOS

This week we presented the 1st edition of the AMA / Fraunhofer Portugal AICOS Innovation Grant. The session marked an unprecedented partnership between Public Administration, Academia and Fraunhofer AICOS, a leading NGO in the innovation ecosystem in Portugal.

Bring science to the Public Administration: this is the motto for this initiative. The Innovation Exchange intends to reinforce the links between the scientific system and the Public Administration, creating a model of relationship between the scientific community and the current challenges of public services.

It is intended, in the context of this Innovation Grant:

• Promote and “normalize” the adoption of a fact-based approach and experimentation prior to implementation in the context of Public Administration.
• Generate increased interest from the scientific community for the current challenges of public services.
• Mobilize public entities for collaborations with the scientific and technological system

In this first edition, the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth, IP will benefit from the work to be carried out by a team of researchers from Fraunhofer Portugal / AICOS.
