Network of Experimentation Labs

At the end of November 2019, the LabX team was in Coimbra with the objective of starting the work of the Coimbra Municipal Experimentation Laboratory – LMx, the first laboratory to be part of the Experimentation Laboratories Network that LabX is working on. to be promoted within the scope of Public Administration.
LabX’s mission is to act as a connector and activator of the Public Administration’s innovation ecosystem, creating bridges between public entities and the national scientific system, the community of entrepreneurs, civil society organizations and, in particular, citizens. In fulfilling this role, and in order to build a belt of multipliers, accelerating or multiplying the transforming potential of its methodological approach, LabX is creating a Network of Experimentation Laboratories: teams from the Public Administration that are trained and that act directly in rapid prototyping cycles to materialize the experimentation in their public entities.
It is in this context, and through a protocol signed with the Municipality of Coimbra, that the Municipal Laboratory of Experimentation of Coimbra – LMx appears, the first to integrate the Network of Associated Laboratories and that LabX will be in charge of training and accompanying by a mentoring over 12 months. During this period, two short cycle experimental projects (up to 6 months each) will be developed, dealing with concrete challenges faced by the Coimbra City Council within its scope of intervention.
