Charter of Principles for the Public Innovator
11 March 2022
The Principles of the Public Innovator are expected to guide public servants in their quest for innovative solutions. Aligned with the citizens’ expectations and with the contributions of civil servants and senior officers, the ten principles will guide innovators towards real practices that are able to respond to a permanent changing world.
These principles were first designed in a co-creation exercise carried out by the Innovators Network members who defined a set of guidelines to promote citizen-centred innovation and to which public servants where committed when joining the Network. A new version was designed with the active contributions of the group of colleagues brought together in project 2.1, from the Third Collaborative Work Plan, which updated these principles and gave them wider dissemination throughout the public administration.
